mystical powers?

Sammy was refusing to go to sleep tonight, he stayed awake in his bed even later than usual. A few minutes before 10 I told him that mommy was going to sleep and I was going to shul, so he should lie down.
"Why are you going to shul daddy?" He asked
"To daven to Hashem that you go to sleep" was my awesome reply.
"You should daven for rain"

I walked outside and lo and behold the sky had opened up and rain was falling.

The three little pigs

We bought Jonah "The 3 little pigs" and it was a version I never heard before. The big bad wolf huffed and puffed and blew down the first two pigs homes, and ate them. There is even a picture of the second little pig in a roasting pan with an apple in his mouth. He obviously couldn't blow down the 3d little pigs house, due to the bricks, so he tries to get teh pig to come out apple picking with him, then to the fair. At the end of the book (Spoiler Alert) when Big Bad tries to come down the chiminey, the pig boiled water, the wolf fell into the pot, he quickly covered it and boiled Big Bad and ate him.
Have you ever heard that version before? After Nat read it to Jonah for the first time he said " That's not what really happened...right?"

What would I do without Nat

I started reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown last night. I told Nat that I was thinking of watching the movie Angels and Demons, which is based on a previous Dan Brown book, because it's been referenced, and I want to know whats going on.
Nat was like, OK, but didn't you read Angels and Demons already.
Bottom line, I don't have to to watch Angels and Demons before I get into the new book

New Job

My plan for past year or so was to start my own company and work on my own. At some point I quit looking for a job and dedicated to starting Non Stop Media (NSM). The downside of not working for a year is at some point the money runs out. Sadly, this happened as I bought several computers and plasma TV's for NSM. The plan was to start selling the ad space as soon as Succot ended and install the TV's this week.
I had some trouble with the sales, turns out my Hebrew isn't as awesome as I thought it was, and I felt this was a detterent in my sales approach. I started thinking that I need to hire a part time Israeli salesperson, and maybe I can find a job that was flexible enough that I could run my compnay and make some money on the side.
On Friday, completly out of the blue, I got a phone call asking me if I knew anyone who might be interested in full time, work from home management position. I thought about it for a few minutes and realized that I had to take the job.
So now I am a project manager at GlobeTask, and Virtual Assistant company.
And I am looking for a part time salesperson in Jerusalem who is preferably Israeli or speak Hebrew fluently.

Playing with Kayla

Kayla and I played "Israeli government vs. Settlers" today.

I would build towers with blocks and she would come and start to destroy it, but before she could finish the destruction, I was already building a new tower. Finally, she gave up, and my tower stood proudly.

Smallest girl in the world..

or just in Israel?
Last week, Nat took Kayla to the doctor, After weighing her, the nurse said that Kayla dropped from the 3rd percentile in weight to not on the charts. She was under 0 percentile in weight for girls her age. This means that 100 percent of all 8 month old girls outweigh her. If even one kid weighed less then her she'd have to be in the .001 percentile.

Twins fan and baseball hats

We went to Noat Kedumin today, it’s a nature trail, it was very nice, but that’s not the point.

As I pulled into what I thought was a parking lot, a couple other cars pulled out. Next to me was a minivan driven by a man in a Minnesota Twins hat. He rolled down his window and said in Hebrew that this wasn’t an actual parking spot. I said thanks in English, he said you’re welcome, as he rolled up his window, I yelled, “Go Tigers.” According to Nat he glared at me.

We drove into the parking lot and he parked next to each other, he got out of the car and said that was a brave thing to say, considering how the Tigers ended the regular season and you’re wearing a Lions hat. He had a point, we talked baseball for a minute and went on our separate ways.

A side note about baseball hats, I noticed that noticed that most of the caps that were worn were from playoff teams. There were Yankees, Red Sox, Angels , Phillies, and Twins. The exceptions were a couple of Mets hats and one Pirates hat.
